Evaluate and Revise

I believe all of the lesson's objectives were achieved, which centered on helping students learn how to recognize the components and structure of a problem-and-solution essay, evaluate sample writings, and express their understanding through reflective writing. A range of techniques, resources, and media were used in an effort to get students actively involved in the lesson.

The introduction, which employed role-playing situations to stimulate critical thinking and collaboration among students, successfully complemented the concept of problem-solving. However, because it took a lot of time, I would ask a chosen group of pupils to role-play to save time. With very little individual evaluation, the session mostly focuses on group discussions and criticisms as assessment tools. I'll make an effort to approach this differently the next time the subject is covered. Furthermore, the lesson plan presents a variety of tasks in a condensed amount of time, which occasionally results in hurried conversations or insufficient time for introspection and comprehension. I believe I should use fewer activities or media in a lesson the next time.

The video and PowerPoint presentation served as visual and auditory tools to support the structure and characteristics of problem-and-solution essays. Students were able to apply their knowledge and examine real-world situations through group discussions and critiques of essay samples, which improved their comprehension of how to write an effective essay. A revision game was included to provide some pleasure while reviewing important ideas. Utilizing tools like Flip Snack and Google Classroom allowed for more interactive and accessible learning. Students were so entertained by the game that most were doing it over a second and third time (where I would have to get them focused on the next activity). All things considered, a variety of engagement opportunities for students with different learning preferences and backgrounds were guaranteed by the mix of cooperative learning, lecture, technology-enhanced learning, and role-playing. The lesson effectively built on the students' past knowledge while encouraging engagement and introspection, which helped them comprehend problem-and solution essays on a deeper level.

What is the Assure Model Lesson Plan and How Can I Use it in My Lesson?

Teachers use the ASSURE model, a systematic framework for instructional design, to organize and present lessons that are effective. Essentially, it leads educators through a sequence of actions to guarantee that classes are coherent, interesting, and in line with learning goals. Analyze your students' requirements and preferred learning methods before stating your lesson objectives in clear terms if you want to implement the ASSURE model in your class. Next, choose instructional strategies, media, and resources that will best facilitate learning. Throughout the class, make sure that students are actively participating. Afterward, assess the lesson's success and make any necessary adjustments for future development.

How is it Beneficial?

In order to ensure alignment with learning objectives and student requirements, educators can organize and deliver effective lessons in a methodical manner with the help of the ASSURE model. Teachers can maximize student learning outcomes, raise engagement, and improve the quality of their education by adhering to its guidelines.
