What is a Pecha Kucha and How can it be Used?
In a Pecha Kucha, presenters show off 20 slides, each of which is visible for 20 seconds. This structure makes for a succinct and engaging presentation that lasts precisely 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Presenters are encouraged to use creativity and succinctness in their message delivery. Pecha Kuchas provide a special chance for students to hone their presentation skills in the classroom by having them create short, powerful presentations in a set amount of time. Pecha Kuchas can also be used by teachers as resources for absent students, offering concise, readily understood explanations and clarifications on important ideas. I have yet to use a Pecha Kucha in my class but I am undoubtedly excited to use it in the near future!
